Property Description

A beautifully remodeled 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom oceanfront beach house in Topsail Island that is perfect for the family or friends that are looking for a more 'upscale' vacation option. Appropriately named for its close proximity to the pier, 'Flounder In' is located in the middle of it all in central downtown Surf City within walking distance to just about everything the island has to offer: shops, restaurants, entertainment, fishing, great playground, and even local Touch Tank. This home features large sweeping decks with a private oceanfront heated pool and gazebo where you can relax with a book or catch a tan alongside the pool. A private boardwalk connected to the deck provides access to the beach and ocean.

Entering the home on the first floor, it soon becomes apparent why this is such a popular home. Spacious design and large windows open your 'indoor' experience into the beautiful sights and sounds of the beach. Upon entry you are welcomed into the open kitchen and dining area. Just past the kitchen is access to a full bathroom. Head down the short hallway and you will find the separate living room with a twin over full bunkbed room. Laundry room is just off the living area.

Head upstairs and there will be a full shared bathroom to your right. Next to the bathroom are two Queen Oceanside bedrooms. Wake up to the view of an incredible ocean sunrise over the Surf City Pier every morning of your vacation. Head down the hall and you will find the largest bedroom which features a king sized bed, full en suite bathroom, and access to the oceanfront balcony. Sip coffee and watch the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean or have an afternoon cocktail as you watch surfers catch some waves.

Enjoy a meal under the oceanfront gazebo, take a dip in the private heated oceanfront pool, or search for seashells on the beach. No matter how you choose to spend your day, 'Flounder In' provides everything you could need for a luxurious stay at the beach.

Protect Topsail Island Sea Turtles

Important things you can do to help protect our Topsail Sea Turtle population:

  • Turn beachfront lights OFF after dark. Sea turtles are phototactic, which means light attracts them. Hatchlings will move toward the brightest light source, traditionally moonlight and stars reflecting off water to move toward the ocean.
  • Use only a red beamed light when walking on the beach at night, as white light is distracting and disorienting.
  • Flatten sandcastles, fill holes and remove any obstacles on the beach at the end of each day.  This includes chairs, tents, umbrellas, games, trash, etc.
  • Observe a nesting turtle from a distance.
  • Touching a nest or hatchling is against federal law, even if hatchling is in distress or not crawling toward the ocean.
  • Leave any tracks made by turtles undisturbed.
  • Don't trample on beach vegetation.
  • Don't disturb sea turtle nest markers.
  • Report unmarked nests, injured or dead sea turtles to local police or sea turtle organization Topsail Turtle Project at 910-470-2880.
